Agartala, 25th November 2024:  The Traffic department initiated a joint operation on Monday to address the persistent traffic congestion in the Maharajganj Bazar area here. The enforcement team led by Traffic Officer Sudhambika R conducted the operation aimed at ensuring smoother traffic flow in the market.

Traffic Officer Sudhambika R highlighted the issue of indiscriminate parking around Maharajganj Bazar, with vehicles such as cars, motorbikes, scooters, and others being parked haphazardly. “Our main goal today is to alleviate the traffic jams caused by illegal parking. We have observed that people are parking wherever they want, and this is causing significant congestion,” she stated.

The operation included issuing warnings to vehicle owners, instructing them not to park illegally on the roads. “Today, we have issued warnings to inform people about the importance of legal parking. If these warnings are not heeded, we will take legal action in the coming days,” Officer Sudhambika R cautioned.

She also assured that such operations would continue in the future to maintain order and prevent traffic jams. “We are committed to ensuring that Maharajganj Bazar remains free from traffic congestion, and our efforts will be ongoing,” she added.

The traffic department’s proactive measures are expected to bring much-needed relief to the bustling market area, improving the overall flow of traffic and accessibility for all.
