Agartala, 3rd September 2023: In a heartbreaking incident a 17-year-old Meghla Jamatia, a class 12 student, tragically took her own life by consuming poison at her residence in Killa area of Gomati district. The incident unfolded while her father was not present at home, leaving the family in a state of disbelief and sorrow.
According to the father of the deceased, Meghla Jamatia consumed the poison without her mother’s knowledge. When her health began to deteriorate rapidly, she was rushed to Killa Hospital. However, due to the severity of her condition, she was immediately referred to Gomati District Hospital. Despite medical efforts, her condition continued to worsen, leading to her subsequent transfer to GB Hospital.
The heartbreaking turn of events took an even more tragic twist when Meghla Jamatia’s life was lost inside the ambulance en route to GB Hospital. The entire community has been left in mourning, grappling with the profound and unexpected loss.
While the family and community members are left devastated by this tragic incident, they remain puzzled as to the reasons behind Meghla Jamatia’s decision to take her own life.
