Agartala, 21st November 2024: A tragic accident occurred in the Udaipur Khilpara area this morning, claiming the life of an unidentified woman, approximately 22 years old. The incident took place around 8:15 am when the Sealdah-bound Kanchenjunga Express, traveling from Sabroom, struck the woman.
Upon receiving the information, officials from the Udaipur Railway Department immediately arrived at the scene to investigate. They later reported the incident to Radha Kishorepur Police Station and Radha Kishorepur Women’s Police Station for further action.
The police team conducted an on-site inspection and recorded details of the accident before transferring the deceased to Gomati District Hospital for post-mortem.
At the time of reporting, the identity of the woman remains unknown. Authorities suspect she might have been employed in a nearby furnace, but no confirmation has been made. Investigations are underway to ascertain her identity and determine the circumstances leading to the accident.
