Agartala, 12th November 2025 : The railway authorities have announced the suspension of train services on the Agartala–Sabroom and Sabroom–Agartala routes effective from today until November 25. The decision has sparked strong resentment among regular passengers who rely on the service for their daily travel.
Usually, the train departs from Agartala at 1:40 PM and returns from Sabroom at 4:20 PM. However, over the past month, services on this route have been repeatedly suspended, causing widespread inconvenience to commuters.
Regular passengers expressed frustration, saying the frequent cancellations have made travel extremely difficult. Adding to their anger, neither the Railways nor the Tripura Transport Department has provided a clear explanation for the prolonged disruptions. Locals have criticized the state transport department, accusing it of being in a state of “deep slumber.”
Passengers have urged the authorities to restore train services immediately to ease their travel woes.
