Agartala, 31st December 2025:  Tripura Transport Minister Sushanta Chowdhury today said that multiple infrastructure development projects of the Transport Department are progressing at full pace across the state and most of them are expected to be completed within the next five months.

Chairing a high-level review meeting at the Secretariat on the last day of 2025, the minister assessed the status of projects underway at motor stands, DTO offices, and departmental buildings. He reviewed timelines, progress, and financial aspects of the works, expressing satisfaction with the overall momentum.

The meeting focused on projects approved under the Special Assistance to States for Capital Investment (SASCI) scheme and other ongoing initiatives. Officials from the Transport, Finance, PWD, Rural Development and Water Resources departments, Tripura Housing Board, and senior officers from all eight districts were present.

Chowdhury said the quarterly review revealed encouraging progress since the projects were initiated earlier this year. He added that under the leadership of Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha, and with support from the Tripura Finance Department and the Government of India, the Transport Department is committed to completing these projects and delivering improved public services to the people.
