Agartala, 6th November 2025:  Pushpa Rani Debbarma, a resident of Gulmora in the Matabari assembly constituency had been suffering from paralysis for several years without access to proper medical care due to financial hardship. A member of a tribal family, Debbarma’s condition had worsened over time, leaving her in urgent need of assistance.

During a recent visit to the area, local MLA Abhishek Debroy encountered Pushpa Rani in a severely deteriorated state. Moved by her plight, the legislator immediately mobilized local party workers and arranged for her treatment. Under his leadership, she was admitted to Gomati District Hospital, where she received both financial support and medical consultation.

Speaking to media personnel, Pushpa Rani confirmed that she is now alive and recovering, thanks to the intervention.

In a related act of compassion, another tribal woman, Lakshmi Rani Jama Tiar, has been standing by Pushpa Rani like a son would to his mother. Lakshmi Rani acknowledged the MLA’s support in covering medical expenses but appealed for additional help, stating that Pushpa Rani still struggles with mobility and could fully recover with continued assistance.

The incident has once again highlighted MLA Abhishek Debroy’s commitment to inclusive leadership, bridging communities and standing as a symbol of unity across tribal and non-tribal lines.
