Agartala, 27th March 2026:  The All Tripura ASHA Facilitators and ASHA Workers Association convened an organizational meeting today in front of the Rabindra Shatabarshiki Bhavan premises here, raising several demands related to their interests. The event was organized under the approval of the Mazdoor Monitoring Cell and was attended by members of the association. Labor leader Biplab Kar, along with other representatives, attended the gathering.

Following the discussions, a delegation proceeded to Raj Bhavan to submit a memorandum outlining their demands to the Governor.

Addressing the assembly, labor leader Biplab Kar emphasized the dedication of ASHA workers, noting that they continue their duties despite adverse weather conditions.

He remarked, “Workers have no color. A worker means someone left behind. They work for money, and ASHA workers too serve for financial necessity. Without the need for income, they would not be engaged in this work.” He urged the government to take their demands seriously and extend necessary support.
