Tripura Assembly Directs Sudip Roy Barman to Vacate Old MLA Hostel

Agartala, 20th September 2024:   The Tripura Legislative Assembly has instructed Congress MLA and former BJP Minister Sudip Roy Barman to vacate his quarters at the Old MLA Hostel in Agartala and move into the newly constructed MLA Hostel near ILS Hospital. The directive, issued in a letter signed by S.K. Majumder, Secretary of the Tripura Legislative Assembly, emphasized the need for immediate compliance to facilitate development activities at the old premises.

The letter highlighted the urgency of the situation, stating, “There is an immediate necessity to vacate the quarters you are currently occupying at Old MLA Hostel No. 1, near Buddha Mandir, Agartala. The Assembly Secretariat needs to proceed with necessary development works in the interest of the Tripura Legislative Assembly.”

Roy Barman has been asked to hand over the keys to the Superintendent of the MLA Hostel and submit a requisition for a new accommodation at the recently completed hostel complex. The letter further urged him to vacate the premises within one month of receiving the notice, emphasizing the need to treat the matter as urgent.
