Agartala, December 11, 2022:  Under the initiative of 9 Banamalipur Block Congress, Tripura Pradesh Congress on Sunday organized a grand rally in the capital city under the banner of “Tripura Bachao-Bharat Jodo” slogan.

The procession traversed various routes of the capital city amid a pomp and gaiety show and was led by former TPCC president Gopal Chandra Roy, EX-MLA Asish Kumar Saha and other leaders.

Speaking on the occasion, senior Congress leader and former MLA Asish Kumar Saha said, “With an aim to spread the message of former All India Congress President Rahul Gandhi of uniting the nation and the people from the divisive policies of the BJP-led government in the State as well as in the Centre, Tripura Pradesh Congress launched the “Tripura Bachao-Bharat Jodo Yatra” on the eve of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi’s birth anniversary.

“We performed extremely well and covered around 14,000 km. Common people participated in the program and greeted us enthusiastically, gladly and we received immense response from the people across the state”, said Saha.

He added, “The motive behind holding such program is to aware the people of the state about the misrule and mis-governance under the BJP-led government”.

Saha further added, “A complete anarchy prevails in the state. There is no rule of law and democracy has come to a standstill. People of all sections be a daily labourer or service holder all are spending days under uncertainity”.

Ex-MLA Asish Kumar Saha further castigated the BJP over increased crimes against women and political violence.

Speaking to the reporters, Gopal Roy said, “The people have already realized the real face of the BJP and in the coming elections, the people will surely oust it from power”.

A huge enthusiasm could be seen among the congress supporters in the day’s rally.
