Agartala, 1st February 2026:   Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha on Sunday lauded the Union Budget 2026, calling it a “visionary blueprint” that sets India firmly on the path to becoming a Viksit Bharat by 2047.

In a Facebook post, Dr. Saha congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman for presenting what he described as the #ViksitBharatBudget, which outlines a comprehensive 25-year roadmap for inclusive, sustainable, and long-term national development.

The Chief Minister noted that the Budget places strong emphasis on critical sectors such as manufacturing, world-class infrastructure, healthcare, tourism, and emerging technologies including artificial intelligence. He said the focused attention on rural development, women empowerment, youth aspirations, and farmer welfare would play a transformative role in improving lives across villages, towns, and cities.

Dr. Saha also highlighted provisions for modern sports infrastructure and the development of sacred pilgrimage destinations, stating that these initiatives would further strengthen the foundation of a self-reliant and globally competitive India.

According to the Chief Minister, the Union Budget 2026 reflects the Centre’s commitment to balanced and inclusive growth, ensuring that the benefits of development reach every section of society while positioning India as a leading global power in the years to come.
