Agartala, 19th November 2025:  Tripura farmers have received another major financial boost as Prime Minister Narendra Modi released the 21st instalment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme on today.

The instalment was disbursed digitally from Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, with Rs 42.03 crore transferred directly to the bank accounts of eligible farmers in Tripura.

According to officials from the Agriculture Department, the PM-KISAN scheme—launched in Tripura in February 2019—has become an essential support system for the state’s farming community. Continued efforts by both the Central and State Governments, including special provisions for patta-holding farmers living in RoFR areas, have significantly widened the scheme’s reach.

So far, 2,90,237 farmers in Tripura have been registered under PM-KISAN. Up to the 20th instalment, the state has received Rs 889.52 crore, benefiting 2,85,521 farmers through direct bank transfers.

With the latest instalment, thousands of farmers will receive the Rs 2,000 payout, which forms one part of the annual Rs 6,000 assistance provided under the scheme.

To mark the nationwide event, the Tripura Government arranged live screenings of the Prime Minister’s ceremony at district headquarters, Krishi Vigyan Kendras, block offices, and various village locations. Farmers, public representatives, and officials participated in these gatherings across the state.
