Agartala, 9th February 2026 : The BJP-led central and state governments have emphasized that their vision goes beyond retaining political power, aiming instead to build “Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat” and “Ek Tripura, Shrestha Tripura.” As part of this mission, the focus is not only on infrastructure but also on nurturing an educated and confident younger generation.
Reflecting Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s nationwide initiative Pariksha Pe Charcha, Tripura’s Higher Education Minister Kishore Barman announced the organization of special workshops for students appearing in board examinations for the first time. The sessions, held in Durlav Narayan and Nalchhara, were designed to motivate secondary-level candidates and equip them with strategies for better performance.
More than 600 students from TBSE and CBSE boards participated in the workshops, which were conducted by retired teacher Swapan Majumder, a recipient of the President’s Award. The primary objective was to dispel exam-related fear and instill confidence among students. At the conclusion of the program, TRKS distributed question banks, water bottles, and other supportive materials to aid preparation. Minister Barman also confirmed that, as in previous years, a felicitation ceremony will be held after results are declared to encourage students to pursue higher education.
The event was attended by Mohammad Selim, Deputy Director of Education for Sepahijala district; Subrata Debnath, Head Examiner of TBSE; Swapan Kumar Das, Chairperson of Nalchhara Panchayat Samiti; Indrajit Biswas, TRKS state committee member; and social worker Lokjit Debnath.
