Agartala, 15th July 2026: Tripura Gramin Bank reaffirmed its commitment to rural development and farmer empowerment by extending financial assistance to a Farmer Producer Organization (FPO) during the 45th Foundation Day celebration of NABARD, organised by the NABARD Tripura Regional Office at Hotel Polo Towers, Agartala, on Tuesday.
The programme was attended by Chief Secretary J.K. Sinha, IAS; Principal Secretary Shantanu, IAS; Finance Secretary Dr. P.K. Goyal, IAS; Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Secretary Apurba Roy, IAS; Cooperation Secretary Tapas Roy, IAS; General Manager of RBI’s Tripura Regional Office Surendra Nidar; and General Manager and Officer-in-Charge of NABARD Tripura Regional Office Tanusree Bhattacharya, along with senior officials from various government departments, banks and allied institutions.
On the occasion, Tripura Gramin Bank Chairman Satyendra Singh handed over a cheque of Rs 9.37 lakh to DEO Valley Farmer Producer Company Limited, Dasda, as financial support aimed at strengthening Farmer Producer Organizations, promoting sustainable agriculture and enhancing rural livelihoods in the state.
The bank reiterated its commitment to partnering with NABARD in advancing financial inclusion, agricultural growth and economic empowerment for farmers and rural entrepreneurs. It also congratulated NABARD on completing 45 years of dedicated service towards transforming rural India and reaffirmed its resolve to contribute to building a stronger and self-reliant rural economy.
