Tripura Gramin Bank holds financial Inclusion saturation campaign at Rahimpur

Agartala, 8th September 2025 :   In a bid to deepen financial literacy and expand access to government-backed banking services, Tripura Gramin Bank’s Boxanagar branch organized a Financial Inclusion Saturation Campaign today at Rahimpur. The initiative is part of a nationwide push to ensure last-mile delivery of financial services under flagship schemes like the Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana (PMJDY), Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJBY), Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (PMSBY), and Atal Pension Yojana (APY).

The event was attended by Sepahijala District Additional Magistrate Upendra Jamatia, FIDD Agartala General Manager Onsing Marchang, Tripura Gramin Bank (South) General Manager Payel Saha, Sepahijala Marketing Manager Abhinandan Banerjee, Boxanagar BDO Sanjib Kumar Pal along with local panchayat leaders, TRLM representatives and CFL volunteers.

During the program, speakers emphasized the importance of financial literacy and encouraged citizens to utilize formal banking channels. Topics discussed included digital banking awareness, KYC updates, grievance redressal mechanisms, and cyber security education. Officials reiterated that such camps aim to build trust in banking systems and deliver welfare schemes directly to rural beneficiaries.

In a symbolic gesture, two beneficiaries Maran Saha and Madan Pal were handed demo cheques worth Rs 2 lakh each under PMJJBY and PMSBY showcasing the tangible benefits of financial inclusion.

Organizers noted a particularly strong turnout from local residents, reflecting growing interest and engagement with institutional financial services in rural Tripura.
