Tripura Gramin Bank honoured with national award for SHG bank linkage

Agartala, 21st   February 2026 :   Tripura Gramin Bank has been conferred with the National Award for Outstanding Performance in Self-Help Group (SHG) Bank Linkage for 2024–25 at the National Conclave organized by the Ministry of Rural Development under DAY–NRLM. The prestigious award was received by the Bank’s Chairman, Shri Satyendra Singh, in a ceremony held in Hyderabad.

The recognition highlights Tripura Gramin Bank’s significant role in strengthening SHGs, empowering rural women, and advancing inclusive financial growth across the state. Officials credited the achievement to the collective commitment and teamwork of all stakeholders involved in the SHG movement.

The Bank expressed gratitude to Tarit Kanti Chakma, IAS, CEO, TRLM, and Dipayan Ghosh, COO, TRLM, for their visionary leadership and strategic guidance. Their proactive coordination and support were described as instrumental in securing this national honour. The institution also acknowledged the State Administration of Tripura for its enabling policies and ecosystem that bolstered the TRLM–TGB partnership.

“This award belongs to every SHG member, rural entrepreneur, and team member who contributed to this journey,” the Bank stated, reaffirming its commitment to financial inclusion, women’s empowerment, and sustainable rural prosperity.

Tripura Gramin Bank continues to position itself as a catalyst for rural development under the motto: “Empowering Rural Dreams, Strengthening Tripura.”
