Agartala, 15th  March 2026:    In a heartwarming show of support, Kalyani Saha Roy, the MLA of Teliamura and Chief Whip of the Tripura Legislative Assembly, has pledged to assist the family of a five-month-old baby battling a severe heart condition.

Swarnajit Biswas, the infant son of Sameer Biswas and Sarasati Biswas from the Teliamura Rajnagar area, has been diagnosed with a hole in his heart, a condition that requires urgent advanced treatment outside the state. Local doctors have emphasized the need for immediate intervention, ideally within a week, to save the baby’s life.

The family had earlier appealed for financial assistance from the public, citing the high costs of travel, accommodation, and other expenses associated with seeking treatment out of state.

Responding promptly, MLA Kalyani Saha Roy invited the family to her residence and assured them of her full support. The MLA confirmed that the entire cost of the family’s travel and stay for Swarnajit’s treatment will be covered. She also wished the infant a speedy recovery and assured that the family will receive all necessary assistance throughout the treatment process.

Local residents have lauded the MLA’s intervention, highlighting the importance of timely support for families facing medical emergencies. The gesture has brought hope to the Biswas family, who now look forward to Swarnajit receiving life-saving treatment and returning home healthy.
