Tripura NSS team departs for National Integration Camp in Assam

Agartala, 22nd December 2025:   With the objective of promoting national integration, social harmony and cultural exchange among the youth of different states of the country, a team of 10 selected NSS volunteers from Tripura departed for Assam yesterday afternoon to participate in the National Integration Camp (NIC). The contingent comprises five male and five female volunteers.

The volunteers have been selected from various schools of Tripura. From Subhashnagar H.S School, the participants are Arpita Mishra, Rumpa Debnath, Anjali Debnath, Shubham Debnath, Kaushik Bhowmik and Nayan Das. From Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Class XII School, the selected volunteers are Dipannita Karmakar, Baishali Paul, SnohitChakraborty and Bisal Das who are representing Tripura at this national level camp.

 The Tripura NSS Contingent is being led by Sri Raju Roy, PGT and NSS Programme Officer of Subhashnagar H.S School.

 Prior to the departure, a brief farewell and felicitation programme was organised to encourage and motivate the volunteers. On behalf of the Tripura State NSS Cell, the programme was graced by                          Sri Suman Banik, National Awardee NSS Programme Officer and NSS Programme Coordinator, West Tripura District, along with dedicated members of the State NSS Cell Sri Raju Kumar Pal and Sri Prasenjit Shil, and Smt. Sima Chakma, NSS ProgrammeOfficer of Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Class XII School. Parents and guardians of the volunteers were also present on the occasion. The representatives of the State NSS Cell extended their best wishes to the team and shared valuable guidance for the camp.

 The overall preparation of the state team received active support from the Tripura State NSS Cell, Smt. BarnaliDebbarma, PGT of Subhashnagar H.S School and Sri Shibaprasad Chakraborty, a dedicated State Awardee NSS volunteer. Smt. Rama Dewan Mog, Assistant Headmistress of Subhashnagar H.S School and Sri Jayanta Saha, Secretary of the Teachers’ Council also conveyed their warm wishes and congratulations for the success of the team.

 It may be noted that the National Integration Camp organised by the Regional Directorate of NSS (North Eastern Region), Guwahati, will be held from 22 December to 28 December 2025 at Kumar Bhaskar Varma Sanskrit and Ancient Studies University, Nalbari district, Assam.

 Through this national-level camp, it is hoped that the spirit of national integration, cultural harmony, mutual understanding and social responsibility among youth volunteers from different states of India will be further strengthened.
