Agartala, 18th August 2025: The Tripura Photo Journalists Association (TPJA) celebrates its 25th anniversary this year. As part of its Silver Jubilee celebrations, TPJA will hold a three-day photo exhibition from August 19 to 21, 2025 to commemorate World Photography Day.
The event will take place at Rabindra Satabarshiki Bhavan here and will be open to the public daily from 11:30 AM to 8:30 PM. The exhibition will showcase a curated selection of photographs captured by photojournalists across Tripura, highlighting the state’s diverse cultural, social and environmental narratives.
The exhibition will be formally inaugurated on August 19 at 12 PM by Sushanta Chowdhury, Minister of Tourism, Transport and Food departments. Chowdhury will be accompanied by Agartala Municipal Corporation Mayor Dipak Majumdar, Deputy Inspector General of Police Krishnendu Chakraborty, West Tripura District Magistrate Vishal Kumar and Agartala Press Club President Pranab Sarkar.
TPJA President Pralayjit Pal will preside over the three-day event, which is expected to draw wide public interest and participation. “We look forward to welcoming everyone to this landmark event. With the support and enthusiasm of our community, we believe this celebration will be a resounding success,” said TPJA General Secretary Abhishek Debbarma in a press communiqué today.
