Agartala, 6th February 2026 : In a significant crackdown on illegal eskuf, Tripura Police from the East Agartala Police Station seized 500 bottles of Eskuf following a tip-off.
Acting on the information, officers conducted a raid at a residence in the West Champamura area of Agartala, uncovering a large cache of the banned intoxicant.
During the operation, two men, identified as 47-year-old Subhash Chandra Das and 40-year-old Samir Das, were taken into custody. Both have been brought to East Agartala Police Station along with the confiscated bottles.
Officer-in-Charge Subrata Debnath stated that the investigation is ongoing to determine if additional individuals are involved in the illegal trade. Authorities have assured strict action against all those found culpable.
