Agartala, 5th March 2026: In anticipation of the upcoming Budget Session for the financial year 2026–27, Pranajit Singha Roy, Finance Minister of Tripura, convened a series of high-level review meetings at the State Secretariat on Thursday to fine-tune departmental allocations and key financial strategies.
The Tripura Legislative Assembly is set to commence its Budget Session on March 13, 2026. Ahead of this, the Finance Minister engaged with senior officials to discuss the proposed income and expenditure framework, ensuring a robust and well-planned fiscal roadmap for the state.
During these discussions, Brijesh Pandey and Abhishek Singh, Secretaries to the Government of Tripura, along with other senior officers, reviewed financial proposals, departmental priorities, and key budgetary allocations.
Further strategic deliberations were held with Ratan Lal Nath, Minister of State for Agriculture & Farmers’ Welfare, Power, and Election, focusing on sector-wise fund distribution and balanced financial planning for the year ahead.
In another session, the Finance Minister met with Sudhangshu Das, Minister for Scheduled Caste Welfare, Animal Resource Development, and Fisheries, alongside departmental officials, to examine provisional revised estimates for 2025–26 and the proposed budget for 2026–27.
The meetings highlighted detailed discussions on projected revenues, planned expenditures, and effective fund allocation across sectors, emphasizing financial prudence and strengthened management. Officials noted that these preparatory sessions will help streamline departmental priorities and ensure that the proposals are ready for presentation when the Budget is tabled in the Assembly later this month.
The comprehensive consultations reflect Tripura’s commitment to meticulous fiscal planning, aimed at promoting sustainable growth and balanced development across all sectors.
