Agartala, 2nd September 2025: Tripura Social Welfare and Social Education Minister Tinku Roy on Tuesday announced that the state will observe the upcoming International Day of Older Persons 2025 with dignity, respect, and gratitude towards senior citizens.
Chairing a preparatory meeting at the State Secretariat Hall, Roy said the observance aims to spread the message of respect, service, and compassion, while acknowledging the immense experience, knowledge, and contributions of the elderly.
He further stressed that the programme will underline the role of elders as guiding pillars in families and society, besides creating greater awareness about their welfare and rights.
