Agartala, 10th August 2026: Tripura will launch its state-level Model District under the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM) on Tuesday, aimed at strengthening digital health infrastructure and promoting technology-enabled healthcare delivery across the state.
The inauguration programme will be held at Pragya Bhawan, Hall No. 1, Agartala, from 10 am. Chief Secretary of Tripura J. K. Sinha, IAS, will attend the event as the Chief Guest, while Dr Sunil Kumar Barnwal, IAS, CEO, National Health Authority, will be the Guest of Honour.
Senior officials from the Tripura government and the National Health Authority are also expected to attend the programme.
The Model District initiative seeks to demonstrate effective implementation of ABDM and encourage wider adoption of digital health systems, facilitating seamless, integrated and citizen-centric healthcare services. The initiative is expected to strengthen digital connectivity among healthcare providers and improve access to health-related services for citizens.
