Agartala, 31st March 2026:  Tripura BJP President Rajib Bhattacharya today launched a scathing attack on the Tipra Motha Party, accusing it of pursuing only personal and political gains, and promised that the BJP would take control of the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC) in the upcoming elections.

Addressing a campaign rally ahead of the April 12 polls, Bhattacharya said, “For the past five years, the Tipra Motha administration has failed the tribal people. Their focus has been on enriching themselves politically, not on development. The BJP, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha, believes in delivering real progress for tribals, not empty promises.”

He warned that attempts to disrupt party meetings or intimidate workers would not be tolerated. “We urge everyone to allow our karyakartas to work freely. Come 2026, the BJP will lead the TTAADC administration,” Bhattacharya added.

Targeting Tipra Motha’s claims that the state government failed to fund projects, he asked pointedly, “₹40 crore was allocated for a hospital in Khumulwng—so why has it not been built? Funds were provided for a smokehouse; where did the money go?”

Bhattacharya also criticized the previous CPI(M)-led TTAADC government, accusing it of exploiting tribal voters for political gain. “The time for political games is over. Only BJP can ensure real development and prosperity for the tribal communities,” he asserted.
