Tripura’s 34th Industries & Commerce Fair to conclude on Sunday

Agartala, February 10: The 34th Industries and Commerce Fair, organized by the Tripura Industrial Development Corporation (TIDC), will end on Sunday with a grand closing ceremony. The fair, which started on January 25 at the International Fair Grounds in Hapania, has attracted a large number of visitors and buyers from across the state and beyond.

According to TIDC’s OSD Binoy Bhushan Das, who addressed a press conference on Saturday, the fair has been a huge success with a total of 534 stalls showcasing a variety of products and services. The fair has also featured stalls from foreign countries such as Dubai, Afghanistan, Thailand and Bangladesh, as well as entrepreneurs from 17 states of India.

Das said that the fair has generated a total sale of goods worth Rs. 5 crore 14 lakh till Friday, and expected the figure to rise further by the end of the fair. He also said that there are 82 government stalls in the fair, which have displayed various schemes and initiatives of the state and central governments.

The closing ceremony of the fair will be held on Sunday evening, where eight entrepreneurs from eight districts of Tripura will be felicitated for their outstanding performance and contribution to the fair. The ceremony will also include cultural programs and fireworks. Das invited the public to visit the fair and enjoy the last day of the mega event.
