Agartala, 25th August 2025:   As part of Tripura’s flagship citizen engagement initiative, the ‘Amar Sarkar’ portal launched in 2022 continues to bridge the gap between rural communities and government departments. A large-scale outreach drive was conducted across Nalchar Block today under the program, with officials visiting nearly 2,500 households to document local grievances and service gaps.

The initiative enables elected panchayat representatives and grassroots officials to collect residents’ concerns door-to-door and upload them to the portal, where they are routed to relevant departments for resolution.

Panchayat Minister Kishor Barman personally led the campaign in various wards of the Takshapara Gram Panchayat, engaging directly with residents to understand their issues. Simultaneously, representatives and officials fanned out across all 25 gram panchayats and village committees in the block, beginning at 10 a.m.

To mark the occasion, a brief ceremony was held at the local market shed, where Minister Barman emphasized the importance of scaling up the program’s implementation. “This outreach is not just about collecting complaints, it’s about building trust and ensuring accountability,” he said. He also noted that the Prime Minister has praised Tripura’s model, which is now being adopted by other states.

Among the attendees were BDO Suranjit Sarkar, local panchayat Pradhans and senior officials from relevant departments.

The Amar Sarkar portal continues to serve as a digital bridge between citizens and governance, reinforcing Tripura’s commitment to responsive administration.
