Tripura’s Gomati District, Ganganagar Block Honored with PM Excellence Award 2024

Agartala, 21st April 2025:  In a proud moment for Tripura, Gomati District and the Ganganagar Block of Dhalai District have been conferred with the prestigious Prime Minister’s Award for Excellence in Public Administration 2024.

The awards were presented by Prime Minister Narendra Modi during the Civil Services Day celebration held in New Delhi.Announcing the achievement, Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha expressed immense pride, stating, “It is a matter of great honor that Ganganagar, an aspirational block in Dhalai District, has been recognized with the PM Excellence Award 2024. Congratulations to the people of Ganganagar Block and to Saju Wahid A., DM & Collector of Dhalai, who received the award from the Hon’ble Prime Minister.”

He further noted that the award reflects the State Government’s unwavering commitment to regional development and highlights the block’s sustained efforts toward excellence in governance.

Finance Minister Pranajit Singha Roy also lauded the achievement, revealing that Gomati District received the Prime Minister’s Award for Excellence in Public Administration in the category of ‘Holistic Development of Districts.’

“District Magistrate Tarit Kanti Chakma received the award from Prime Minister Narendra Modi, marking a significant milestone in Gomati’s journey of growth and good governance,” the Minister said.

Calling it a “glorious achievement,” Finance Minister Roy extended heartfelt congratulations to the DM and the entire district administration for their outstanding work and dedication.
