Agartala, December 05, 2022: Maharaja Bir Bikram University, Agartala and Nava Nalanda Mahavihara jointly organized three-day long Seminar-cum-Cultural Exchange Program from November 29 to December 01 last on “Interstate Relations and Indian Culture” at Nava Nalanda Mahavihara in Bihar.
In the beginning, Dr Dhamma Jyoti recited Mangal. On this occasion, chief guest of the program, Vice Chancellor Prof Satyadeo Poddar of the Maharaja Bir Bikram University, Agartala, Tripura, said that unity is possible through culture. Culture is the symbol of love.
Special guest journalist Rajeshwar Rai said that the system was implemented under federalism. Prof Bijoy Kumar Karan, Professor, Dept. of Sanskrit, Nava Nalanda Mahavihara, in his speech narrates the necessity of Indian Ancient cultural and heritage.
In his presidential address, Vice Chancellor Prof. Vaidyanath Labh of the Nava Nalanda Mahavihara, Nalanda said that the nation is not just a piece of land. The political powers may be different; the cultural power of India has always been the same. Two faculty members from MBB University, Tripura, Dr Sudip Bhattacharjee and Dr Sucheta Bhattacharjee, also presented their article in first day of this seminar.
In this seminar, total 16 papers were presented which was followed by several cultural presentations (drama, dance druma, singing, playing etc.). Out of which “Hojagari dance “labang dance of Tripura and “Shiva Parvati’s dialogue”, “Ladakhi songs” from Bihar were the matter of great attraction for the audience. Vote of thanks was proposed by Dr Pradeep Kumar Das, Dept. of Sanskrit, Nava Nalanda Mahavihara. In the last day of this Seminar-cum-Cultural Exchange Program, the students and faculty members were taken for site visit of the Indian Cultural heritage such as Nalanda Ruins” and “Nalanda Museum and Rajgir.
