Agartala, 22nd April2025: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) released the results for the 2024 examinations today, with Sagar Datta Majumdar securing an impressive 317th rank among all candidates.
A resident of Krishnanagar Nutan Palli, Sagar has a distinguished academic background. He completed his secondary education at Ramakrishna Mission School in 2018 and graduated from the same institution in 2016 with an outstanding 95 percent score. He later pursued his honors degree in Physics at Ramjas College under Delhi University, graduating in 2019.
Sagar, the son of Tushar Datta Majumdar and Gauri Datta Majumdar—a former employee of ONGC—has been rigorously preparing for the UPSC exams in Delhi since 2020. This year marked his eighth attempt, resulting in his remarkable achievement.
In addition to his UPSC success, Sagar previously topped the Tripura Public Service Exam in 2024 and has been serving in the Tripura Civil Service. His family background includes his late grandfather, former Post Master Amulya Ranjan Datta Majumdar.
With this milestone, Sagar joins the ranks of accomplished individuals aiming to contribute to the country’s administrative services.
