Agartala, 17th December 2024: The Tring festival is set to be celebrated across Tripura state on December 22. The festivities will kick off on the night of December 21 with a grand celebration featuring songs, cultural dances, and other cultural programs. The ADC administration has declared a holiday for this occasion.
However, the Tripura Public Service Commission (TPSC) has issued a recruitment exam notification for the same day. In response, the Tuipra Students Federation (TSF) has demanded the cancellation of the exam, citing the importance of the festival.
“We urge the authorities to consider the cultural significance of the Tring festival and cancel the exams scheduled for December 22,” stated a representative of TSF. The call for cancellation aims to ensure that students can fully participate in the festivities without any academic pressures.
