TSR – pride of the state, says CM at 2nd Bn TSR’s band exhibition

Agartala, September 10, 2022: Claiming Tripura State Rifles (TSR) jawans as the pride of the state, Chief Minister Prof Dr Manik Saha on Saturday said that their contribution in fighting terrorism in the state is undeniable and they have sacrificed their lives for public safety.

While speaking at the TSR 2nd Battalion’s Band Exhibition organized in front of Ujjayanta Palace on Saturday, Dr Saha said that this type of band was displayed for the first time under the initiative of TSR 2nd Battalion and such band shows will be organized every Saturday of the week aiming to improve the relationship between the security guards and the common masses.

Besides, the Chief Minister hoped that the spirit of patriotism would be awakened in the minds of the people. He highly appreciated the initiative of TSR.

The Chief Minister said that TSR of the state is being celebrated all over the country today. Two TSR forces in the state are valiantly engaged in security operations in Delhi and Chhattisgarh. Due to their bravery, applications are coming from different parts of the country for the service of TSR forces in the state.

The Chief Minister said that there will be two more IR TSR battalions in the future. Director General of Police Amitabh Ranjan gave a welcome speech on the occasion. Assistant Director General of Police Saurabh Tripathi, IG, JS Rao and senior police officers were also present.
