TTJSS initiates 5-day programs to celebrate Anil Sarkar’s 83rd birth anniversary

Agartala, August 25, 2022: With the initiative of Tripura Tapashili Jaati Sammanoy Samiti, the 83rd birth anniversary of public leader and poet Anil Sarkar will be celebrated on September 01 next.

Speaking to media persons at Ambedkar Bhavan here, TTJSS leader Bipodbandhu Rishi Das said “A sit-and-draw competition will be organized on August 28 in memory of Anil Sarkar at Ambedkar Bhavan here. On August 31, a blood donation camp will be organized at the premises of East Agartala CPIM office near his residence at Dhaleshwar where blood donors from four sub-divisions will donate blood.”

“On September 01, floral tribute will be paid on his portrait in front of City Centre. On the same day, a seminar will be organized at 2 PM in his memory and theme is ‘Anil Sarkar in the struggle against fundamentalism and savagery’ at Krishak Bhavan here”, he added. Das said “The 83rd birth anniversary of public leader and poet Anil Sarkar will be celebrated through ‘Poets and Authors Conference and recitation’ on September 02 next at Ambedkar Bhavan, Melarmath here. Eminent writer and journalist Samir Dhar, eminent painter Swapan Nandi and president Bibhu Bhattacharjee will remain present.”

“On September 04 next, the concluding ceremony will be organized as ‘Lok Sanskriti Utsav’ where renowned artists and groups will perform on ‘Lok Sangeet’, ‘Dhamail’, ‘Puthi Pachali’, ‘Rajan nritya’, ‘Jhumur Nritya’, ‘Bihu Nritya’ etc., while award distribution ceremony of sit-and-draw competition will be held in front of City Centre”, he also added.
