Agartala, 31st July 2025: Lefunga police successfully arrested two alleged bike thieves at Ranirbazar and recovered a motorcycle reportedly stolen on February 02 from outside Sadhan Das’ shop in Kamalghat’s Jamirghat Das Para.
The seized bike bearing registration number TR01AH-8616 was traced following a tip-off. The accused Ajay Debnath from Kauyaban, Ranirbazar and Tapan Sarkar from Indranagar, Agartala were taken into custody today.
Speaking to the media personnel today, Lefunga Police Station OC Sahadeb Das confirmed the arrests and emphasized that investigations are underway to identify other members of the theft ring. Legal action will be initiated against the detained duo under relevant provisions.
