Two-day district-level RCH 2.0 training begins in Unakoti

Agartala, 11th December 2025:   Unakoti district has launched a two-day training program on Reproductive and Child Health (RCH) 2.0 services, aimed at strengthening public health delivery under the guidelines of the National Health Mission (NHM). The program commenced on November 11, 2025, at the Circuit House in Unakoti, with officials and staff from various health institutions in attendance.

The training was formally inaugurated by Dr. Shirshendu Chakma, Chief Medical Officer of Unakoti. The opening session was also graced by Dr. Shouvik Debbarma, Member Secretary of NHM, Dr. Sanjay Rudrapal, District Family Welfare Officer (DFWO), and Tapas Saha, MIS Specialist.

Medical Superintendents, SDMOs, Acting Medical Officers, Matrons, Nursing Officers, MPS, HMIS Assistants, and Laboratory Technicians from different health centers across the district joined the program.

The primary objective of the training is to enhance the technical skills of health workers in using the RCH 2.0 portal and its new modules. Organizers emphasized that the modern digital platform will ensure more transparent and accurate collection, analysis, and reporting of maternal and child health data.

Speaking at the event, Dr. Shouvik Debbarma highlighted the transformative role of the initiative: “This digital platform will revolutionize the monitoring of maternal and child health services. Accurate data collection will enable us to make healthcare more dynamic and effective.”

MIS Specialist Tapas Saha conducted practical sessions on registering pregnant women, tracking antenatal and postnatal care, entering child immunization data, generating health indicator reports, and real-time monitoring. Special emphasis was placed on maintaining accuracy in data entry.

Participants gained essential knowledge and skills in data entry, analytical reporting, and real-time monitoring. Officials expressed confidence that the initiative will help reduce maternal and infant mortality rates while improving the overall quality of reproductive and child health services in the district.

The training program, organized jointly by the NHM and the District Health Office, is expected to play a crucial role in enhancing the quality and efficiency of healthcare services in the future.
