Agartala: June 01. Tripura police under the leadership of Officer-in charge of Raju Bhowmik has arrested huge quantities of illegal foreign liquor and arrested one. At around ten o’clock on Wednesday night, acting on a tip-off, a van bearing the number TR 05 F 0221 was seized from the road going to Khedachara via Damchara and the driver along with another person was arrested.
The arrested have been identified as Dhananjay Reang and Binod Kumar Reang. It is said that the house of both of them is in Khedachara. When the arrested van was brought to the police station and searched, foreign liquor of Rs 30, 000 was seized. According to police sources, the illegal liquor smugglers were taking the illegal liquor from Chamtila area of Panisagar and were going to Khedachara.
