Agartala, 5th September 2025: In a major drug bust late last night, Sidhai police seized 48 kilograms of dry ganja from a house in the Tulabari area, valued at over Rs 3 lakh. The operation was carried out following a secret tip-off. Sidhai OC Himadri Sarkar, Sundar Tila Outpost OC Dhrubajoy Reang, along with other police personnel and TSR forces, participated in the raid.
The house owner and alleged ganja dealers, Madan Debbarma and Sadhan Debbarma, were arrested during the operation. OC Himadri Sarkar confirmed that the seized ganja has an estimated market value of around Rs. 3 lakh. Madan and Sadhan are scheduled to be produced in court today under a specific NDPS Act case. The Sidhai police have also assured that such operations will continue in the area to curb drug-related activities.
