Agartala: April 23. Tripura Police has arrested two persons including former BMS President of Amarpur, Pintu Ranjan Das with contraband items from the hospital Choumuhani area in Amarpur. About 39 small veils of brown sugar were recovered from their possession. It is known that today, the police conducted an operation on the basis of secret information in the hospital Choumuhani area.
The police of Birganj police station arrested two youths along with brown sugar. The police managed to recover about 39 brown sugar veils from them. A case will be registered against them under the NDPS section, police said. The police also informed that several youths have been selling various drugs in the area for several days. According to that, the police got this success by carrying out the operation today. One of the two arrested youths is Pintu Ranjan Das, former president of Amarpur BMS and another was identified as Mithun Das.
