Two sisters critically injured in auto-rickshaw collision at Aralia

Agartala, 12th December 2025:   A tragic accident in Aralia Dutta Para, Agartala, left two sisters severely injured after being struck by a speeding auto carrying bamboo.

Local sources informed that the incident took place this morning when the elder sister, aged 17 was carrying her 18 month old sibling to a neighbor’s house. Their parents were reportedly away at work at the time. Suddenly, a bamboo laden auto rickshaw approached at high speed and hit them.

The impact caused the bamboo poles to pierce the elder sister’s face, leaving her with serious injuries. The younger child was thrown from her sister’s arms and sustained a critical head injury. Doctors have described the infant’s condition as extremely critical, while the elder sister also remains in serious condition.

Residents allege that the acciden t was the result of the auto driver’s negligence.
