Agartala, 30th July 2025: In a significant development, two senior Indian Police Service (IPS) officers of the Tripura cadre—Rajiv Singh and Anurag—have been empanelled for appointment to Director General (DG) and DG-equivalent posts in the Government of India.
According to an official order, Rajiv Singh, a 1993-batch IPS officer currently serving as the Director General of Police in Manipur, has been empanelled for appointment to DG/DG-equivalent positions at the central level.
Similarly, Anurag, a 1994-batch IPS officer presently holding the post of Director General of Police, Tripura, has also been empanelled for DG-equivalent roles in the central government.
The empanelment marks a recognition of their long-standing service and experience in policing and administration, and paves the way for potential postings to key national-level security and administrative roles.
