Agartala, 6th November 2025:  A head-on collision between two vehicles took place early this morning around 6 AM on the bypass road connecting Matabari to Brahmabari in Udaipur. The accident took place shortly after the conclusion of a local night fair, with initial reports suggesting that one of the vehicles was returning from the event.

Despite the severity of the crash, local authorities reportedly remained inactive for nearly two hours following the incident. It was a team from the Fire Service that eventually arrived on the scene and transported the injured to a nearby hospital.

One of the vehicles involved, bearing registration number 24BH9208F, was identified as belonging to the Indian Army. However, sources indicate that the vehicle had been rented out to a group of local youths, allegedly without proper oversight. Eyewitness accounts and preliminary investigations suggest that alcohol consumption may have been a factor in the crash.

The incident has raised serious questions about administrative response and accountability. As of now, the Udaipur administration has not issued any official statement regarding potential action or investigation into the matter.
