Agartala, 4th May 2025:  The Udaipur District Congress Committee today organized a ‘Save the Constitution’ campaign, holding a procession in front of the Congress party office in Jamtala, Udaipur. The demonstration aimed at defending democratic values was led by Pradesh Congress Committee General Secretary Milan Kar, Udaipur District Congress Committee President Titon Pal, Pradesh Congress Committee Secretary Kamal Dewan, and several party workers and supporters.

The rally proceeded through various roads in Udaipur before culminating in a public meeting near the CPIM party office. Addressing the gathering, Udaipur District Congress Committee President Titon Pal alleged that the BJP, the central government, and the RSS were conspiring to weaken the Constitution. He claimed that this was part of a larger effort to disrupt democratic governance and communal harmony in the country.

Congress leaders reiterated their stance, accusing the ruling government of attempting to dismantle democratic structures. They emphasized that similar protest movements were taking place across the state as part of a broader initiative by the All India Congress. According to party officials, the agitation is expected to gain momentum in the coming days.
