Agartala, 12th December 2025: The Tripura Rural Livelihood Mission (TRLM) is preparing to launch a new Rs 40-crore initiative, the Samaveshi Aajeevika Yojana (SAY), designed to uplift 8,000 of the poorest households across Dhalai and North Tripura districts.
The three-year project, which will commence this year, will prioritise support for the Reang community classified under the Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Group (PVTG), as well as Scheduled Tribes, Scheduled Castes, women-led households, and single-member families.
TRLM Chief Executive Officer Tarit Kanti Chakma, IAS, outlined the contours of the scheme and said that a suitable date will be requested from senior authorities for its formal launch.
The initiative aims to expand livelihood opportunities, promote sustainable income generation, and advance inclusive growth among marginalised rural communities. TRLM has also partnered with The Nudge Team to expedite the beneficiary onboarding process.
Positioned as a major intervention in the state’s poverty alleviation efforts, SAY is expected to empower vulnerable households and contribute to long-term strengthening of Tripura’s rural economy.
