Agartala, May 04: Radiographers are not being recruited in the state for a long time. Therefore, the unemployed young boys and girls having training on radiography gave a deputation on Thursday demanding appointment to the health department in Gorkhabasti here. They demanded the immediate appointment of radiographers to improve health services in state hospitals.
Physical examination machines with new technology have been introduced in various hospitals. Machines are not being used in hospitals due to staff shortage. They also said that there are three to three hundred and fifty trained unemployed radiographers in the state.
As per government statement on April 27, 2022 there are more than 106 vacant posts. They also said that radiographers were not appointed after 2017. Deputation has been given to the Head of department claiming for the appointment.
