Agartala, 15th February 2026: A wave of tension spread across the Gangagatipur area under Sidhai Police Station on Sunday morning after the body of an unidentified man was recovered.
According to local sources, residents first noticed the body and immediately informed the police. Upon receiving the information, police from Sidhai Police Station rushed to the spot and recovered the body.
After a preliminary investigation at the scene, the body was sent to the hospital for post-mortem examination. The exact cause of death is yet to be determined. Police officials stated that blood marks were found near the nose of the deceased.
The forensic department and the dog squad were also informed. Experts have reached the scene and have begun a detailed investigation.
Police have registered a case of unnatural death and initiated a probe. Efforts are underway to ascertain the identity of the deceased and determine the actual cause of death, police sources said.
