Agartala, 1st June 2025: A rescue operation took place at Sachindra Sarani, Dakshin Nayapara in Dharmanagar, as an unidentified elderly man was found in a critical condition in the river behind the residence of Matan Pal.
According to eyewitnesses, local residents spotted the man lying motionless late last night and promptly alerted the Dharmanagar Fire Department. Responding swiftly to the call, fire department personnel arrived at the scene and, after a challenging rescue operation, managed to pull the man from the river. He was immediately transported to Dharmanagar District Hospital, where he is currently undergoing treatment.
While no serious injuries have been observed on his body, mystery surrounds the circumstances of his fall into the river. Authorities have launched an investigation and are urging anyone with information regarding the man’s identity to come forward.
