Agartala, April 18, 2023: A total of 35 people donated blood voluntarily including doctors, medical staff, hospital staff of the District Hospital of Sepahijala district, Sonamura Sub-Divisional Hospital and Sonamura Community Health Centre located in Melaghar.
On Tuesday, this blood donation program was organized at Sonamura’s Community Health Centre, on behalf of All Tripura Government Doctors’ Association Sepahijala district branch, this blood donation camp was organized in response to the request of the Chief Minister Manik Saha.
Pratima Bhoumik, the union minister of state, who was present on the occasion, happily informed that in accordance with the Prime Minister’s request, three health camps will be organized in three places of Tripura on April 28, 29 and 30 next with the direct support of the three MPs selected from Tripura, i.e. Rebati Tripura and Biplab Kumar Deb and herself. One of these health camps is likely to be in Sonamura. She appealed to all the doctors of different departments who have gained reputation in the country and abroad from different famous hospitals of the country including AIIMS, Rammohan Lohia Hospital in Delhi will be present in these health camps. Therefore, as many people as possible should take the opportunity of health camps near the health camps. She also appeals to all, directly and indirectly to extend a hand of overall cooperation so that the health camps are fruitful because in past days such health camp was never held anywhere in Tripura.
The blood donation camp organized by the doctors of Sepahijala district was attended by Nalchar MLA Kishore Barman, Sepahijala Zilla Parishad Chairperson Supriya Das Dutta, Chief Medical Officer Dr Deep Debbarma, Sonamura Sub-Divisional Health Officer Dr Arijit Sinha, Bishalgarh Sub-Divisional Health Officer Dr Jyotirmoy Das, who is also the District President of ATGDA in Sepahijala district, Sonamura Nagar Panchayat Chairperson Sarada Chakraborty and Vice-Chairperson Shahjahan Mia along with many commissioners of Nagar Panchayat and social workers Prasenjit Ghosh and Biswajit Das and many others were present on the occasion.
The whole blood donation camp was conducted by the doctors and medical staff of Sonamura Sub-District Hospital and Sonamura Hospital and Community Health Centre in Sepahijala district i.e. Melaghar.
