Agartala, 6th September 2025: A day-long Vaishnav religious conference was held today at Janakalyan Ground near Kali Mandir in Uttar Kalamchoura, aiming to reinforce Sanatan Dharma and address moral decline in contemporary society. Organized by the Uttar Kalamchoura branch of the Vaishnav Mahamandali, the event drew 35 Vaishnav devotees from across the state.
The conference commenced at 9 am under the guidance of Krishna Kanta Goswami, state Secretary of the Vaishnav Mahamandali. His spiritual leadership and motivational address set the tone for a vibrant and reflective gathering. Devotees from various Gaon Sabhas in the Boxanagar area participated actively, highlighting the community’s deep-rooted commitment to Sanatan traditions.
The event began with traditional worship of the Radha-Krishna idols, followed by a series of religious discourses. Goswamis, Vaishnavs, and local saints discussed the importance of instilling spiritual discipline in children through Sanatan teachings. They emphasized that true religion lies in nurturing character and moral values from a young age.
In his keynote address, Krishna Kanta Goswami expressed concern over the increasing involvement of youth in antisocial activities. He urged parents, spiritual leaders, and community elders to take responsibility by guiding children through scriptures like the Gita, Bhagavatam, Ramayana, and Mahabharata. “Spiritual awareness begins with self-realization and respect for parents,” he said, adding that saints must play a leading role in inspiring youth toward national welfare.
Goswami also stressed the importance of respecting all religions while encouraging devotees to first understand and teach their own faith. “Only through knowledge of one’s own dharma can true peace be achieved,” he noted.
At 2 p.m., devotees were treated to devotional music celebrating divine love and spiritual joy. From 3 p.m. to 5 p.m., Mahaprasad was distributed among attendees, fostering a sense of unity and shared purpose.
Krishna Kanta Goswami announced that similar Vaishnav conferences will be organized in various Gram Panchayats across Boxanagar in the coming days, continuing the mission of spiritual upliftment and social reform.
