Agartala, July 22, 2023: In a shocking incident last night at approximately 9:15 PM, the serene ambiance of the Niamatpur Durga Temple in Niamatpur Gram, Shahjadapur Union, Sarail Upazila, was shattered when a group of vandals launched a brazen attack on the sacred place of worship. The assailants reportedly went on a rampage, breaking and destroying all the revered idols within the temple premises.
Mahbubul Bari Chowdhury Montu, Joint Secretary of Brahmanbaria District Awami League, has expressed his strong condemnation of the despicable act. In response to the incident, he urged everyone to refrain from circulating unverified information and called for a thorough investigation into the matter to ascertain the truth.
The local community has been left in shock and disbelief over this appalling act of sacrilege. Protests have erupted in the region, demanding swift action against the perpetrators.
