Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra reaches remote tribal villages in Tripura

Agartala, November 25: The Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra, a central government initiative to reach out to the rural and tribal population of the country, organized administrative camps in two remote villages of Tripura on Friday and Saturday.

The camps were held at Kathirambari and East Deenbandhu Para ADC villages, under the Mandai block of West district. The camps witnessed a large turnout of villagers, who availed various government schemes and services.

At the camp in Kathirambari, 19 people registered for the Ayushman Bharat Card, a health insurance scheme that covers up to Rs 5 lakh per family per year. 43 people underwent health check-ups and received free medicines. 8 villagers applied for LPG gas connection under the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana, a scheme that provides free cooking gas cylinders to poor households.

At the camp in East Deenbandhu Para, 24 villagers were assisted in agriculture-related matters, such as seeds, fertilizers, and irrigation. 20 people applied for LPG connection and bank KYC. 25 villagers were encouraged to join the Tripura Rural Livelihood Mission, a scheme that aims to enhance the income and livelihoods of the rural poor.

The villagers expressed their enthusiasm and gratitude for the camps, which brought the government closer to them. They also showed interest in other schemes, such as the Pradhan Mantri Grameen Awas Yojana, which provides housing assistance to the rural poor.

Some of the villagers shared their stories of how they benefited from the housing scheme and improved their living conditions. The villagers also praised the government for the development of road communication system in their area, which has improved their connectivity and mobility.
