Agartala, 31st July 2025: Residents of Jatanbari’s Levachhara Suedhar Para have staged a road blockade this morning on the Amarpur–Karbook route, protesting years of neglect of a deteriorated local road.
According to locals, the road has remained in a dilapidated condition for several years, with no meaningful effort for repair by either the local panchayat or administrative authorities.
The blockade drew attention from nearby leaders, who rushed to the scene. However, agitated residents refused to engage in discussion.
Protesters declared that the blockade would only be lifted if the Sub-Divisional Magistrate of Karbook arrived on site and issued a written commitment to address the issue.
