Agartala, 24th December 2023:   In a shocking incident that unfolded this morning, the humble abode of Akhtar Mia, a struggling rickshaw puller, was ruthlessly demolished by alleged miscreants associated with the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). The incident has sparked widespread outrage in the area as details emerge of a targeted attack on dwellers living in houses built on government land.

Akhtar Mia, who has been residing with his wife and six children in the disputed property in Bitterbon, expressed his anguish over the unjust act. According to Mia, the miscreants forcefully entered his residence despite his pleas for mercy, ultimately reducing his home to ruins.

The targeted demolition appears to be part of a larger issue affecting numerous individuals residing in government-designated areas. Akhtar Mia claims that while many others share a similar living situation, they have not faced such brutal consequences. He attributes the aggression towards his socio-economic status, citing his impoverished condition as the reason behind the destruction of his home.

“I pleaded with them not to destroy the only shelter my family has. We are not the only ones living here, but they chose to break our home,” expressed a visibly distraught Akhtar Mia.

Local residents report a heightened sense of tension and unease in the aftermath of the incident. The alleged involvement of BJP-backed miscreants has further fueled political discussions in the area.
